MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – The upcoming visits of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko during his major foreign tour have been months in the making, Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi told the First News TV channel, BelTA has learned.

“Regarding the president’s extended tour, indeed, these visits have been months in the making. Some have been under preparation since late last year. That is why our leader made the decision long ago to visit a number of Southeast Asian nations, where very promising projects worth tens of millions of dollars are taking shape. These are presidential-level projects and initiatives,” Dmitry Krutoi said.

Concerning the prolonged official trip of the head of state, he called on people “not to blow up a sensation where none exists.” “An absolutely ordinary, planned, and very meticulous work is underway,” the head of the Belarus President Administration stressed.

Dmitry Krutoi noted that prior to the tour, the president had spent several days studying relevant materials and making adjustments. The goal was to prepare for these visits in the best possible way.

As BelTA reported earlier, Aleksandr Lukashenko has departed on a major comprehensive visit to East and Southeast Asia. He will visit a number of states for top-level talks, during which the parties will discuss large-scale, promising projects for the country across various areas. Each of these visits was preceded by extensive preparatory work.

East and Southeast Asia is a region that stands as a leader in global development and a key driver of the world economy. This underscores Belarus’ high interest in expanding cooperation with Asian states, which remains among its top foreign policy priorities and forms the foundation of its multi-vector policy.
