MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – A delegation led by Belarusian Prime Minster Andrei Kobyakov will visit Italy on 9-10 September to attend the celebration of Belarus’ National Day at the Expo Milano 2015, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
The delegation will attend the official opening ceremony of the National Day of Belarus at the Expo Milano 2015 and hold negotiations with Italian government officials, the general commissioner of the expo, and the president of the Lombardy region.
Andrei Kobyakov will also take part in the panel discussion “Belarus: European Partner – Eurasian Market”.
Besides, the Belarusian delegation has plans to visit Piedmont, the second largest of Italy's 20 regions, and to hold meetings with the Piedmont president, the Turin mayor, and representatives of the company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, one of the world's largest auto makers.
The delegation will hold talks with senior executives of the Italian engineering concern Finmeccanica at its subsidiary AgustaWestland.
The press service stressed that the visit will advance the implementation of joint financial and industrial cooperation projects and help choose areas for further bilateral cooperation. “The celebration of the National Day of Belarus at the Expo Milano 2015 with the participation of the government delegation will be an important event for Belarus’ image. We expect it will enhance the investment attractiveness of our country,” the press service noted.
