Kobyakov, Aripov discuss Belarus-Uzbekistan cooperation

TASHKENT, 3 November (BelTA) – Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov and his Uzbek counterpart Abdulla Aripov met in Tashkent on 3 November to discuss the ways of intensifying cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan, BelTA has learned.

Abdulla Aripov noted that Uzbekistan highly appreciates the level of mutual relations with Belarus. “Uzbekistan has high expectations from Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko’s visit which is due to take place in 2018. Joint efforts are needed to prepare for the meeting at the highest level,” said Abdulla Aripov.

The parties also discussed the preparations for a meeting of the Belarusian-Uzbek intergovernmental commission.

Andrei Kobyakov is in Uzbekistan on a working visit on 2-3 November. Today, the Belarusian premier is expected to take part in a meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council. Andrei Kobyakov has already held meetings with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Sapar Isakov.
