Judicial officers of Belarus, France sign cooperation agreement

Judicial officers of Belarus, France sign cooperation agreementMINSK, 30 November (BelTA) – Judicial officers of Belarus and France reached a cooperation agreement, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Justice Ministry.

The Justice Ministry and the French National Chamber of Judicial Officers signed a memorandum following a meeting in Paris. The document envisages cooperation, including exchange of experience, information, and expert knowledge to improve the legislation and organizational support for the work of judicial officers.

Representatives of the Justice Ministry also took part in a regular session of the Permanent Council of the International Union of Judicial Officers (UIHJ). The sides discussed topical issues in law enforcement, exchanged opinions and information on law enforcement practices in different countries.

The Belarusians also met with UIHJ President Francoise Andrieux to discuss the conditions for obtaining a permanent membership status in the UIHJ. As of today, Belarus is represented in the union as an accredited member. The prospects of the international cooperation in law enforcement were in the spotlight of the meeting, too.
