TEHRAN, 19 October (BelTA) – Iran shows big interest in full-scale cultural cooperation with Belarus, Vice President of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization Abbas Khame Yar told BelTA.
This agency has 83 foreign representations, including in Belarus. “Iran needs to develop closer friendship with Belarus. Two months ago I visited your country and saw a big interest of Belarusians, especially the youth, students to the Iranian culture. Iran shows the same interest to the Belarusian culture,” said Mr Abbas Khame Yar.
He stressed he was impressed with the beauty of Belarus and its capital. “I liked the National Library which houses the country’s book heritage. The trip to Minsk left a deep impression on me with the hospitality of Belarusians, their education and a high level of culture,” noted the Iranian representative.
In his words, Belarus and Iran have big prospects for cultural contacts.
