MINSK, 8 October (BelTA) - An Emergency Preparedness Review (EPREV) mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will work in Belarus on 8-20 October, BelTA has learned.

The mission has been invited taking into account the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant.

The IAEA provides emergency preparedness review services upon request to member states to assess their level of preparedness for a nuclear or radiological emergency. The EPREV mission contributes to enhancing the national emergency response capacity in accordance with IAEA safety standards.
