MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France Pavel Latushko met with newly appointed Chairman of the France-Belarus Friendship Group in the National Assembly of France Nicolas Dhuicq, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Embassy in France.

“The parties discussed prospects for the development of the Belarusian-French inter-parliamentary contacts. Nicolas Dhuicq expressed his interest in paying a visit to Belarus in order to hold talks with Belarusian MPs,” the embassy said.

In turn, Pavel Latushko congratulated Nicolas Dhuicq on the appointment and expressed hope for the expansion of constructive cooperation with French MPs. The Belarusian diplomat also informed the politician on the activity of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Paris in strengthening bilateral relations in the economic, cultural and political areas. He also told him about the work of the joint commission on economic cooperation, the preparation for the 2^nd Belarusian-French Business Forum and the implementation of big investment projects in Belarus with the participation of the French capital in automobile construction, food industry and construction.
