On Guinea’s behalf the document was signed by Minister of International Cooperation Koutoub Moustafa Sano. “This is the first document which lays the foundation for the formation of the legal framework of cooperation between our states,” Vladimir Makei said. He also noted that some people say that Guinea is a poor country. However, such countries as Australia, China, France, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa cooperate with Guinea.

“I believe that this country is dynamically developing,” the Belarusian minister stressed. He said that Guinea has plentiful mineral resources, including bauxite, gold, diamonds, etc. Apart from that, this country has three harvests a year. Guinea has 6 million hectares of farmland, only 10% of it is cultivated. “The country needs farm and road construction equipment,” the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs added.

Vladimir Makei also told reporters that on 17 June the sides discussed promising avenues of cooperation such as agriculture, mining and other fields. The delegation of Guinea visited Minsk Tractor Works. “They were surprised by the level of development of the manufacturing industry in Belarus,” the minister said.
