MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – A joint meeting of the board of the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Russia will take place in Minsk on 18 November, Spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Mironchik told reporters on 13 November, BelTA has learned.
The meeting will discuss the advancement of Belarus-Russia joint initiatives regarding the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War to the international arena. The agenda will also include cooperation in the OSCE, development of relations with the European Union, armament control at the current stage. Special attention will be paid to the work with fellow nationals in third countries.
Besides, the Foreign Ministers are expected to sign a plan of ministerial consultations between Belarus and Russia for 2015. Vladimir Makei is set to meet Sergei Lavrov to discuss the Belarusian-Russian cooperation and exchange opinions on the issues of mutual interest.
