Foreign ministries of Belarus, Russia discuss security in Europe

MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – The foreign ministries of Belarus and Russia held a round of consultations on pressing pan European security issues on 1 June in Moscow. The talks took place at the level of deputy foreign ministers, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

Heading the Belarusian delegation was Deputy Minister Igor Sekreta, while the Russian side was led by Deputy Minister Alexander Grushko.

During the consultations, the two sides conducted a thorough exchange of views on promising areas for joint work within the OSCE. They also discussed the current state of affairs and coordination of actions regarding the EU, NATO, and the Council of Europe.
