MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – The fifth session of the Belarus-Sudan joint commission on cooperation will take place in Q1 2026. Topical matters of bilateral cooperation were discussed as Belarusian Deputy Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Minister Viktor Galanov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sudan to Belarus Omer Elamin Abdallah Fadlallah, the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry press service told BelTA.
The parties considered prospects of trade and economic cooperation and reaffirmed interest in holding another session of the joint commission. The session is expected to be an important step towards tighter interaction.
The Belarusian side emphasized support for the Sudanese government’s efforts to reinforce peace and protect sovereignty and condemned acts of violence against civilian population in the city of Al Fashir.
Belarus-Sudan diplomatic relations were established in 1999. The Belarus-Sudan joint commission on cooperation was established in 2004.
