Delegation from Slovakia visiting Belarus

MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) – An official delegation of Spišská Nová Ves District administration from Slovakia is visiting Belarus on 20-25 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Austria and Slovakia (non-resident).

The delegation was invited by the Belarusian veteran organizations “Brotherhood of Belarusians and Russians” and “Veterans of Military Intelligence”.

During their visit to Belarus, the Slovak delegation will see the Khatyn Memorial Complex and the All Saints Memorial Church in Minsk, where they will hand over capsules with soil taken from the territory of the Kalište Memorial Complex in Slovakia.

Kalište was a village in Banská Bystrica District of Slovakia, that was completely destroyed by the Nazis along with its residents in March 1945.
