MINSK, 9 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General Andrei Ravkov and Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus Oleg Dvigalev will meet with Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov for negotiations, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The meeting will take place as part of the official visit of the Azerbaijani defense minister to Belarus on 8-10 October.

During the negotiations the sides will discuss the state and prospects of future development of military cooperation and military technology cooperation between Belarus and Azerbaijan. A plan on bilateral cooperation between the two defense ministries in 2018 is supposed to be signed as well.

Apart from that, the Azerbaijani delegation will visit the Military Academy to get familiar with the military education system in Belarus. Members of the delegation will also go on a tour of several Belarusian defense enterprises.
