CSTO Foreign, Defense Ministers, Security Council Secretaries discuss military cooperation

MOSCOW, 27 November (BelTA) – Bishkek has played host to a joint meeting of the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council, the CSTO Defense Ministers Council, and the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils, BelTA learned from the CSTO press service.

“During the meeting, CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov briefed the participants on the military-political situation in the organization’s area of responsibility and on the activities of the CSTO Secretariat during the intersessional period,” the press service said.

The meeting participants discussed pressing issues of their joint work, including the implementation of the anti-drug strategy, strengthening interaction in military cooperation, and developing the organization’s analytical capabilities. Following the meeting, a proposed agenda was drawn up for the upcoming session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
