Cooperation between Belarus, KFAED discussed in Minsk

MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) – Belarus First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin and representatives of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) discussed the financing of the cancer center construction project in Grodno, BelTA learned.

"Today we will discuss our joint project to finance the construction of the cancer center. This project is important to us. I hope that once implemented, this project will be followed by other, no less important projects,” Aleksandr Turchin noted.

Aleksandr Turchin noted that the loan terms are attractive for Belarus. The credit resources shall be provided for a long period, on the terms more favorable when compared to the terms under many existing agreements.

Head of the delegation of the Kuwait Fund For Arab Economic Development Nawaf al-Mahamel stressed that work is now underway on the components, structure, cost and timing of the project. "I am sure that in cooperation with our Belarusian colleagues we will bring this project to fruition," he said.

BelTA has reported earlier, a set of buildings of City Hospital No. 3 will be renovated under the project. The project is expected to be divided into two phases.

The delegation of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development has already held talks with officials of the Finance Ministry, Healthcare Ministry and Grodno regional authorities.
