MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yevgeny Shestakov met with First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina Pedro Raul Delgado in Buenos Aires on 28 March to discuss the prospects of the dialogue between Belarus and South America's leading trading bloc (Mercosur), BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of bilateral relations between Belarus and Argentina. Special attention was attached to the mutual exchange of visits between official delegations and businessmen, further expansion of the legal framework of the bilateral relations. “The parties considered the prospects of the dialogue between Belarus and the Mercosur, cooperation in international organizations. The parties also exchanged opinions on the important issues of the current international agenda,” the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The Belarusian delegation also met with representatives of the National Directorate for Bilateral Economic Negotiations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina to discuss issues related to bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation.
