Brest Oblast, China’s Hubei Province to step up cooperation

MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Yuri Senko met with China’s Hubei Province Governor Wang Xiaodong in the city of Wuhan on 30 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.

The parties discussed all areas of cooperation between Hubei Province and the Republic of Belarus and Brest Oblast (its twinning region). Wang Xiaodong spoke about the province’s achievements in recent years and development plans for the 14th five-year period. The parties pointed out prospects for advancing the bilateral cooperation in logistics, trade, humanitarian affairs, and healthcare.

Speaking about preparations for the Year of Regions of Belarus and China, Yuri Senko and Wang Xiaodong agreed to harmonize a roadmap to expand cooperation between Hubei Province and Brest Oblast in the near future and to organize a series of presentations for local companies to inform them about the capacities of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.
