Belarusian observers invited to monitor election campaign in Myanmar

MINSK, 7 March (BelTA) – We invite Belarusian representatives to take part in the observation of the next election campaign in Myanmar, Chairman of the State Administrative Council and Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing told the media after the talks with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Minsk on 7 March, BelTA has learned.

Min Aung Hlaing also congratulated Aleksandr Lukashenko on his convincing victory in the recent presidential election. Myanmar representatives were among the international observers during this year’s election campaign in Belarus. The prime minister emphasized that Belarus was developing stably and efficiently under the leadership of Aleksandr Lukashenko and expressed hope that the two leaders would meet in Myanmar during the visit of the Belarusian head of state.
