MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – In a condolence message to Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko conveyed that Belarusian parliamentarians call for preventing further escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, BelTA has learned.

Belarusian parliamentarians were deeply shocked by the tragic news of numerous civilian casualties and destruction in Iran, reads the condolence message distributed by the House of Representatives’ press service in connection with the deaths of the country’s leadership and civilians as a result of the joint military operation by the United States and Israel against Iran.

“We share the pain of the families and loved ones of the victims. We reaffirm our principled stance against any aggressive actions and call for the prevention of further escalation of the conflict and violence,” the message of condolences reads.

During these difficult times, Belarusian parliamentarians expressed words of support to the Iranian parliament and people, wishing for a swift peaceful resolution of the military conflict and a return to normalcy in the country.
