GOMEL, 30 August (BelTA) – The Education, Sport, and Tourism Department of the Gomel City Executive Committee and the Education Office of the Bryansk city administration have signed an agreement on friendship and cooperation, BelTA has learned.

The document was signed by Anna Melnikova, Head of the Education, Sport, and Tourism Department of the Gomel City Executive Committee, and Alexander Kravchenko, Head of the Education Office of the Bryansk city administration. The latter attended the August conference of Gomel pedagogues today.

Alexander Kravchenko remarked that the agreement allows pedagogues and school students to establish professional and competent communication. This opportunity is not available to all the bordering regions. “We have a lot of contact points. I understood it today after talking to colleagues from Gomel,” he said.

Anna Melnikova mentioned the joint projects that Gomel and Bryansk intend to implement soon in the new academic year. The first one provides for exchange programs for pedagogues and students. The second one envisages finding new forms of additional education for school students.
