MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – Belarus’ State Border Committee has received an official notification from the Polish side about the reopening of the Kuznica Bialostocka and Bobrowniki border checkpoints on 17 November. Belarusian border guards are ready for full resumption of cross-border traffic, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.
On Monday, 17 November, 2 a.m. Belarusian time, the Polish authorities plan to open the Kuznica Bialostocka (Bruzgi on the Belarusian side) and Bobrowniki (Berestovitsa on the Belarusian side) border checkpoints. Belarus’ State Border Committee received the relevant official notification from the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland on the evening of 14 November.
According to the Polish side, only passenger vehicle traffic will be permitted through the Kuznica Bialostocka border checkpoint (Bruzgi on the Belarusian side). Passenger cars, trucks, and buses will be allowed via the Bobrowniki border checkpoint (Berestovitsa on the Belarusian side). “We draw the attention of freight carriers: freight trucks from the European Union, countries participating in the European Economic Area Agreement, and Switzerland will be able to cross the border via this border checkpoint," the State Border Committee noted.
The border service authorities are ready for the full resumption of cross-border traffic, the State Border Committee emphasized.
