Belarusian ambassador to China, SCO secretary general discuss high, top-level contacts

MINSK, 5 January (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Yuri Senko met with Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Ming on 4 January, the Belarusian embassy in Beijing told BelTA.

Yuri Senko and Zhang Ming discussed the current agenda of interaction between the Republic of Belarus and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. They exchanged opinions about prospects of development of the organization.

Close attention was paid to the realization of the decision to start Belarus’ admission as a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The relevant document was signed at a session of the Council of Heads of State in Samarkand, Uzbekistan in September. Yuri Senko and Zhang Ming also discussed contacts at the top level and the high level in 2023.
