Belarus, Vietnam to step up manufacturing cooperation

MINSK, 24 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Belarus Pham Hai on 24 October. The ambassador presented copies of his credentials, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

Vladimir Makei and Pham Hai confirmed it is necessary to continue stepping up manufacturing cooperation and the establishment of joint ventures. The importance of continued regular contacts between the Belarusian and Vietnamese ministries of foreign affairs was mentioned. It is also necessary to continue constructive cooperation in international organizations and the active dialogue between interested ministries and organizations in Belarus and Vietnam.

Vladimir Makei and Pham Hai exchanged opinions about topical aspects of Belarus-Vietnam cooperation. Prospects of advancing Belarusian-Vietnamese ties in politics, economy, humanitarian affairs, and other spheres were discussed. The diplomats paid close attention to the implementation of the agreements reached when the Vietnam president visited Belarus in June 2017.
