Belarus, Vietnam note positive trends in military ties

MINSK, 23 September (BelTA) – State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Lieutenant General Aleksandr Volfovich met with Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), Army General Nguyen Trong Nghia in Minsk on 23 September, BelTA has learned.

During the talks, the parties discussed a wide range of issues regarding bilateral interaction in military and military-technical cooperation, noting its positive momentum across all areas.

The meeting participants emphasized that Belarusian-Vietnamese relations have traditionally been constructive and mutually beneficial. They expressed interest in further developing cooperation between Belarus and Vietnam based on mutual trust and respect, taking each other’s interests into account, and identified promising areas for future interaction.

The State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus reaffirmed its readiness to assist in developing inter-agency relations and resolving various issues between the defense ministries of the two countries.
