MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) – Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov met with Venezuela’s Vice President, co-chair of the joint Belarus-Venezuela commission Ricardo Menendez on 5 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the state and prospects of the Belarusian-Venezuelan relations and the cooperation of the two states in industry, construction and agriculture.

The focus was made on boosting bilateral trade, including the coordination and implementation of measures envisaged in the Belarus-Venezuela bilateral cooperation roadmap for mid and long-term perspective.

The parties also discussed the issues related to the preparations for the 8^th meeting of the joint Belarus-Venezuela commission in Caracas.
