Belarus, Venezuela discuss key areas for further mutually beneficial cooperation

MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov met with outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela to Belarus Franklin Ramirez Araque on 18 June, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed key areas of mutually beneficial Belarusian-Venezuelan cooperation and outlined plans for its further strengthening in sectors of mutual interest.

The ambassador of Venezuela expressed condolences on behalf of his country’s leadership in connection with the tragic incident resulting from a drone attack on a bus carrying Belarusian citizens in Russia’s Bryansk Oblast. In turn, Evgeny Shestakov conveyed Belarus’ position on this matter.

The deputy minister expressed gratitude to the Venezuelan ambassador in Minsk for his personal role in advancing Belarusian-Venezuelan ties and wished him all the best in his future work.
