Belarus, Vatican discuss Ukrainian crisis

MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Ante Jozic on 22 May, BelTA learned from the the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed cooperation between Belarus and the Holy See. Special attention was paid to the interfaith dialogue.

The parties also exchanged views on the situation in the region, including efforts aimed at resuming a dialogue on possible ways to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.

The parties confirmed the willingness to continue active cooperation in various areas and an open and mutually respectful dialogue on issues of mutual interest.
