MINSK, 9 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Uzbekistan have approved a roadmap for the development of trade, economic, social, and humanitarian cooperation for 2026–2030, BelTA has learned.

Following the meeting between the two presidents, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Shuleiko and Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev exchanged the approved documents.

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the adopted roadmap for the development of cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan outlines steps to achieve the set goals. “Moreover, there are successful examples of establishing joint ventures. These include projects for the localization of Belarusian tractor manufacturing in Uzbekistan and the expansion of cable product manufacturing,” he said.

Following the talks, a number of other documents were signed. The key one is the declaration on establishing strategic partnership between Belarus and Uzbekistan.

The bilateral agreements also included memorandums of understanding covering labor and social protection, finance, agriculture, science and technology, along with fundamental and strategic research. Other areas for agreements were culture and art, tourism, and light industry.

The ministries of foreign affairs and emergencies from both nations exchanged bilateral agreements, along with the Belarusian Ministry of Forestry and Uzbekistan’s National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change.
