MINSK, 16 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Togo plan to implement joint projects, Belarus’ National Bank’s information and public relations department told BelTA following the talks in Lomé, the capital of the Togolese Republic, between Chairman of the National Bank’s Board Roman Golovchenko and President of the Council of Ministers of Togo Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe.

The parties discussed in detail the further development of bilateral relations, emphasizing practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Togo is one of the dynamically developing states in West Africa, serving as a hub for financial and logistical services for neighboring countries. Its capital hosts a key regional financial institution – the West African Development Bank.

The Belarusian delegation also held talks with the relevant authorities, culminating in the signing of bilateral documents on developing cooperation and implementing joint projects.

“The visit of the delegation, led by the chairman of the National Bank’s Board, to the Togolese Republic marks another important milestone in executing the instructions of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko on the comprehensive development of a multifaceted, mutually beneficial partnership with the countries of the African continent,” the National Bank’s information and public relations department noted.
