In 2016 Belarus signed the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in education with Poland, the agreement on the mutual recognition of education documents with Pakistan, the ministerial agreements on cooperation in education, science and the youth policy with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, China, Pakistan, and Turkey.

In 2016 the number of foreigners receiving education in Belarus increased by more than 1,000 to succeed 20,000 students. People from more than 100 countries come to Belarus to get education. The major export markets of education services are the CIS countries (Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan), South and Southeast Asia (Bangladesh, Vietnam, Pakistan, Sri Lanka), Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
