Belarus to share its anti-corruption practices at UN conference

MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Belarus is taking part in the Seventh Session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), which opened in Vienna on 6 November, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Austria.

The event is attended by more than 200 delegations of the member states to the Convention and also representatives of the specialized intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations. The Belarusian delegation is led by Ambassador to Austria, Permanent Representatives to the International Organizations in Vienna Alena Kupchyna.

The session will consider the advanced methods to fight corruption, the key issues of international cooperation, the observance of international agreements against corruption, prevention, detection and suppression of corruption-related crimes.

The Belarusian delegation will share its experience and best practices of reducing administrative barriers, improving administrative procedures, enhancing the transparency of state procurement and also the anti-corruption expertise of laws as instruments of the efficient fight against corruption.
