Belarus to provide help to China due to new virus outbreak

MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – Belarus will provide aid to China to help the country fight a fast-spreading virus, BelTA has learned.

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has given instructions to send necessary medical aid to China by air.  The aid will comprise medications, individual protective gear (face masks, overalls and gloves), decontaminating equipment and other medical products.

The military aircraft IL-76MD will deliver the aid to China.

The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is mulling over further measures to help China. Among the options is a possibility to send Belarusian healthcare specialists to provide consultative assistance and estimate China’s needs in Belarus’ medical support.
