MINSK, 29 June (BelTA) – The Council of Ministers has issued resolution No.372 of 26 June 2020 to lift coronavirus-related restrictions from transit truckers on 1 July, the press service of the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry told BelTA.

On 25 March 2020 the Council of Ministers released resolution No.171 to stipulate measures designed to curb the spread of the COVID-19 infection. In line with the document transit truckers are supposed to cross the country only along specific motorways where they can stop for meals and recreation and for refueling their vehicles. Transit truckers are also supposed to leave the country via the shortest route possible the day after the day they enter the country. The Council of Ministers has decided to scrap these requirements.

The Council of Ministers has also decided to amend its resolution No.311 of 25 May 2020 “On using navigation devices (seals)”.

Resolution No.372 comes into force on 1 July 2020.
