“At the meeting of the CEI Parliamentary Assembly in Minsk our experts will present a number of proposals, including the ones on economic security. We need to strengthen cooperation between the CEI member states in order to consolidate the common potential through mutual exchange and coordination of actions. Our proposals will also pertain to enhancing interaction between countries at the bilateral and multilateral level, strengthening technological cooperation, including the implementation of joint projects, and also matters related to information security, the preservation of culture and traditions of our countries,” said Sergei Rakhmanov.

In his words, the number of participants will be record high this year. “We will do our best to showcase the achievements of our country thanks to which we maintain a high level of stability,” the senator said.

Sergei Rakhmanov also noted the importance of the strategic relations of Belarus with both the CEI and Russia. “Russia is our strategic partner. All our activities are, among other things, aimed at improving the ties between Russia and Europe. We can serve as an important instrument in maintaining a dialogue to discuss the issues which sometimes cannot be discussed directly. In this case, remaining a reliable partner of Russia, Belarus contributes to the stability in the CEI region,” he stressed.
