Belarus, St Petersburg sign 2020 program of cooperation in science, technology

MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – Belarus and the Russian city of St Petersburg have adopted a program of cooperation in science and technology for the period up to 2020, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian State Science and Technology Committee.

The 2020 program of cooperation between educational and scientific institutions was signed at the 10th meeting of the Belarus-St Petersburg Business Cooperation Council in St Petersburg on 28 March. The document was inked by First Deputy Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee Andrei Kosovsky and Chairman of the St Petersburg Committee on Science and Higher Education Andrei Maksimov.

The cooperation program envisages joint scientific research in the production of medicines and the implementation of Union State programs (Metabolism, Stem Cells-2, Additivity, Monitoring-SF, and Koval). The sides also plan to co-organize conferences and scientific internships.
