Belarus, Singapore set to intensify political dialogue

MOSCOW, 3 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Singapore are set to intensify political dialogue, the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia told BelTA after a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Singapore to Russia Lim Kheng Hua in Moscow on 3 February.

“The parties exchanged opinions on topical matters of bilateral relations and the cooperation between Singapore and the Eurasian Economic Union. Special attention was paid to the intensification of the political dialogue through exchanges of visits, strengthening of trade and economic cooperation, and expansion of the legal framework,” the press service said.

The diplomatic relations between Belarus and Singapore were established on 12 August 1992. In 2015 the bilateral trade made up $30.9 million.
