Belarus, Serbia to launch joint projects in trade, economy, tourism

MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Serbia Valery Brylev has met with Serbian Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties discussed prospects for the development of the Belarusian-Serbian trade and economic relations and ways to increase mutual trade,” the press service said. “According to Valery Brylev and Tatjana Matic, promising cooperation areas are establishment of trade platforms in both the countries for product promotion, setting up of joint ventures in Belarus and Serbia to supply products to third countries, and projects in construction, transport, and tourism,” the press service noted.

In addition, the parties agreed to resume the work of the Belarusian-Serbian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation as soon as possible, once the Serbian government appoints the Serbian co-chairman.
