Belarus, Serbia hold ministerial consultations

MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Another round of consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia took place in Belgrade, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich, the Serbian delegation was led by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Damjan Jović. A meeting was also held with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Marko Đurić.

The parties discussed the current agenda of Belarus-Serbia relations, including political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, expansion of the legal framework, interaction between Minsk and Belgrade on international platforms, as well as in the humanitarian sphere.

During his stay in Belgrade, Yuri Ambrazevich also met with Nenad Popović, Minister of Serbia’s Government responsible for international economic cooperation and the social position of the church in the country and abroad, as well as members of the parliamentary friendship group with Belarus in the National Assembly of Serbia, representatives of the Serbian business community and experts.

The parties highlighted the friendly nature of bilateral relations and mutual commitment to expanding cooperation.
