Belarus, Serbia discuss strengthening economic ties

MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Serbia focused on economic cooperation during their latest round of ministerial consultations in Minsk, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Sekreta headed the Belarusian delegation at the talks, while State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Damjan Jović led the Serbian delegation.

The participants held substantive and constructive talks, covering the full range of bilateral issues with a heavy focus on economic cooperation.

The parties exchanged views on key global and regional issues and reaffirmed the alignment of Belarus’ and Serbia’s approaches to most of them. The officials also agreed to maintain an intensive dialogue at all levels.

On the same day, Damjan Jović met with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov. The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further expanding Belarusian-Serbian cooperation.
