Belarus’ security efforts discussed during diplomat’s visit to SIPRI

MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Belarus to the Kingdom of Sweden Vadim Mikhailov visited the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Sweden.

The diplomat met with SIPRI Director Karim Haggag and Director of Studies, Armament and Disarmament Sibylle Bauer.

The Belarusian diplomat briefed the institute’s representatives on Belarus’ efforts to strengthen regional and global security.

He also spoke about the Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security scheduled for this autumn and the promotion of the initiative for a Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century.
