MOSCOW, 5 June (BelTA) – A session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia will take place in Brest on 18 June, the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia told BelTA.

Participants of the session will discuss the implementation of recommendations given by the parliamentary hearings on approximating Belarusian and Russian laws for the sake of enabling equal rights of Union State citizens in the Russian city of Bryansk on 16 December 2017. Participants of the session will discuss the approximation of Belarusian and Russian laws for the sake of enabling equal conditions for commercial entities. Progress in implementing the main guidelines on forming and running the single scientific and technological space of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will be reviewed as well.

Representatives of the Union State Permanent Committee and permanent observers in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia have been invited to participate in the session. Members of the Assembly’s Youth Chamber will take part in the session for the first time ever. The decision to set up the Youth Chamber was made by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia during the previous session in Bryansk.

Members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia and members of the Youth Chamber will discuss the main tasks and priority areas of joint work aimed at reinforcing the friendship and mutual understanding of young Belarusian and Russians. Cooperation in regulating the rights and legal interests of young people will be reviewed as well.
