MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – Lifting restrictions on travel across the Belarusian-Russian border is still high on the Belarus-Russia agenda, Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei told reporters following a joint meeting of the collegiums of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Russia in Minsk on 26 November, BelTA has learned.
“A crucial matter for our countries, namely removal of the restrictions on travel across the Belarusian-Russian border, remains on the agenda. We have already agreed on certain exemptions for some categories of citizens and on more steps to continue reviving air travel between the two countries,” Vladimir Makei stressed.
He also expressed hope that further coordinated work on resuming all types of transport communication with the implementation of the necessary safety measures will yield results.
