Belarus, Russia present Eurasian Charter of Diversity, Multipolarity in Vienna

MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) – Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Multilateral Diplomacy at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vadim Pisarevich and Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aleksandr Trofimov held a briefing at the Vienna International Centre for representatives of Eurasian states on the progress of developing the Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century, the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry told BelTA.
The briefing brought together Vienna-accredited representatives of Eurasian states. The Belarusian and Russian diplomats presented up-to-date information on the work on the draft charter, outlined the main approaches to its substantive content, and reaffirmed the open and inclusive nature of the negotiation process.
Vadim Pisarevich emphasized the importance of continuing a broad international discussion on the draft charter and involving all interested Eurasian states in this process. He noted that the document is designed to facilitate the development of common approaches to strengthening security, stability, and cooperation across the Eurasian space.
The Belarusian diplomat emphasized the strong demand for a constructive and equitable dialogue on shaping a just multipolar world order. He also stressed the importance of considering the interests of all nations during the drafting of the charter.
“During the event, an exchange of views took place on the further promotion of the initiative and its potential contribution to strengthening security, stability, and cooperation across the Eurasian space,” the MFA press service noted.
The Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century is a Belarusian-Russian initiative aimed at shaping a fair and sustainable architecture of security and cooperation across the Eurasian space based on the principles of the sovereign equality of states, the indivisibility of security, and respect for civilizational diversity.
