MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vladimir Borovikov took part in the expert seminar Eurasian Security in the Context of Diversity and Multipolarity in the World, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Hanoi.
The event was held at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences with the support and participation of the Belarusian and Russian embassies, the foreign ministries of the countries (online), Institute of European and American Studies of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, and representatives of Vietnam’s analytical community. Head of the Sustainable Development Directorate of the Main Directorate of Multilateral Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Vadim Pisarevich and Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aleksandr Trofimov presented their initiative to adopt the Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century.
Vladimir Borovikov emphasized the need for joint efforts by all interested Eurasian countries to ensure regional and global security, as well as cooperation between the capabilities of international organizations and institutions. The participants also stressed the importance of strengthening trust and mutual understanding in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
The leadership of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Russian diplomatic mission held brief talks. The sides additionally discussed prospects for advancing mutually beneficial Belarus-Vietnam cooperation and implementing new joint projects.
