MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia are planning to sign gas supply documents by the end of the year, Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich said as he opened Energy Expo, the 25th installment of the Belarusian energy and environmental forum, BelTA has learned.

"Agreements have been reached at the level of heads of state. The price of natural gas will remain at the level of $128.5 per 1,000 cubic meters. We are now working on the necessary documents and on the implementation of the agreements in 2022," Viktor Karankevich said.

According to him, work is underway on a draft protocol to amend the intergovernmental agreement on pricing in the gas sector and on a protocol between the Belarusian government and Gazprom. "The parties are set to sign the documents before the end of the year.  A gas supply contract will be concluded on their basis," the minister said.
