MINSK, 15 April (BelTA) – The third round of the Belarusian-Qatari ministerial consultations took place in Doha on 14 April, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov met with Qatari Minister’s Assistant for Foreign Affairs Mohammed Bin Abdullah Bin Mutib Al Rumaihi to talk over the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation and discuss the most important issues concerning Middle East, Eastern Europe and the CIS.

The parties considered measures to continue the political dialogue, boost bilateral trade, exchange business visits, attract investment, improve the legal framework and mutual support in international organizations. The heads of the delegations took note of similar positions on the majority of the discussed matters.

Apart from that, Valentin Rybakov held a ceremony of the official opening of the Belarusian embassy in the State of Qatar. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs and heads of several diplomatic missions.
