NEW YORK, 28 September (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Ecuador President Rafael Correa have agreed to organize a visit of the Belarusian head of state to Ecuador. The arrangements were discussed when the two heads of state met in the UN headquarters in New York on 28 September, BelTA has learned.
Alexander Lukashenko and Rafael Correa discussed the current state of key projects in Belarusian-Ecuadorian cooperation that had been sketched out during previous top-level meetings. The sides agreed to step up the relevant work.
Alexander Lukashenko and Rafael Correa agreed that the sides would work hard to prepare the visit of the Belarusian head of state to Ecuador. Attention will be focused on the visit’s trade and economic component taking into account Ecuador’s need for Belarusian technologies and equipment.
