MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is expected to go to New York, USA on a working visit on 26-29 September, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
In New York Alexander Lukashenko is expected to take part in events of the UN Sustainable Development Summit. A post-2015 international sustainable development agenda will be adopted as a result of the summit. Alexander Lukashenko will make a speech during the plenary session of the summit to outline Belarus’ stance on the matter.
The head of state is also expected to make a speech within the framework of the general political discussion during the 70th session of the UN General Assembly where he will lay down Belarus’ stance on handling the most topical international problems.
While in the USA Alexander Lukashenko is expected to hold a number of bilateral meetings with leaders of other countries as well as with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein.
