MINSK, 28 September (BelTA) – Belarus opened an honorary consulate in the Swiss city of Lausanne on 28 September, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Switzerland
Swiss businessman Andrey Nazheskin will represent Belarus in the Cantons of Vaud, Valais, Geneva, Neuchatel, Fribourg and Jura.
Belarus also has an honorary consulate in Switzerland’s Zurich.
Lausanne is the capital of the Swiss French-speaking Canton of Vaud. The city is situated on the shores of Lake Geneva. Lausanne hosts the International Olympic Committee, numerous international sport federations and the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
