Belarus’ new ambassador presents copies of credentials in France

MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) – New Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France Igor Fisenko has presented the copies of the credentials to Deputy Director of the Protocol Department of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jerome Cauchard, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

The diplomats talked over the schedule of contacts and events for the near future. The ambassador emphasized Belarus’ interest in the intensification of cooperation with France in the economic, political, cultural and other sectors.

According to the Belarusian embassy, after presenting the copies of the credentials, Igor Fisenko can hold working meetings at the French government bodies, take part in diplomatic events. “Taking into account the current situation in France the presentation of the credentials to the country’s president should take place within 2019,” the embassy said.
